I went to the Pusat Bandar Damansara Immigration Department this morning, and headed to the Block I, Ground floor, asked for the location of the passport renewal kiosk. It is just next to the entrance of the immigration department. I've always wanted to try to use the kiosk since I read the news about this kiosk last year. There are 3 machines, 1 broken. The officer is really helpful, basically i just touch screen at the "start" button, slot in my passport, mykad, get my left n right thumbprint, and slot in 1 photo with envelop, and of course RM300. Then I've got a receipt that says I can collect my new passport within 2 hours! I was surprised, I didn't know that I can collect it in the same day, within 2 hours???!!!I decide to wait till 12:25pm, as stated as the collection time in my receipt. I had my brunch, shopping around at the Giant supermarket opposite the office. Then I went up to 1st floor of the office at 12pm, waiting to collect my passport at counter 16. Surprise! I got my new passport at 12:05pm!!
Renewal process -- 3 mins, Collecting passport in 1 and a half hour time after processing! Amazing! 2 THUMBS UP! This is the very first time that the government service has not only satisfied, but also delighted me!!
